By bidding on any stallion service(s), the bidder agrees to be legally bound to pay for their bid in full.  Your bid will be considered a binding contract between you and SWALHC.
PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO OR CANNOT PAY!

SWALHC will make every attempt to notify winning bidders, however, it is the bidder's responsibility to moniter the auction(s) that they have bid on.

The stallion owner will provide the following details:

  • Stallion lineage & registration numbers .
  • Pictures of stallion.
  • Pictures of offspring (optional)
  • Accomplishments (optional).
  • Any special mare requirements or terms (for bids to be accepted), i.e. purebreds only.
  • Statement of what additional fees are/are not included in the stud fee: any board, vet fees, handling fees, etc., and what the boarding fees are per day if applicable.
  • Statement of what type breeding services are available: live cover / A.I. only or if both are available.
  • Statement of any foal guarantees and if the stud fee is transferable, etc… (Live foal guarantee, and if the mare fails to produce a live foal – if a substitute mare is acceptable)..
  • Supply SWALHC with a sample stallion service contract for your stallion that lists your terms – if one is available.

In the event that the stallion owner offers the breeding to be used for a purebred or partbred - the highest dollar bid wins the breeding as long as it meets the minimum bid.
The stallion owner will be notified of the highest bid on his/her stallion when the auction closes.
When the auction closes the stallion owner will be notified of the winning bidder, the stallion owner will notify SWALHC of his/her acceptance of the bid.
The stallion owner has the right to refuse the high bid.
If this occurs, the breeding may be sold to the next highest bidder.
If any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the SW Andalusian & Lusitano Horse Club Officers will have the right to make the final decisions.
All contractual arrangements, guarantees, mare care, veterinary costs and other expenses are solely between the service purchaser and the stallion owner.

Money collected by the SW Andalusian & Lusitano Horse Club for breedings sold through the auction will be used, at the discretion of the officers, for continued service improvement to the membership, promotion and advertising of the breed, or other uses that would benefit the membership and the breed.

The SW Andalusian & Lusitano Horse Club will not be liable for any damage incurred, tangible or intangible, as a result of participating in the Stallion Auction.

Stallion owners will be notified when their stallion's payment has been received IN FULL. They will not breed the winning mare or ship semen until they have been notified or have contact SWALHC to verify that payment has been received in full. (Thanks!)
